Police Sergeant A.200 Davies,
On the 30th October, 1939, I received from you a
part of an expended bullet for examination.
It is very hard to say what calibre this is.
I am
of the opinion it is the inside of a Rifle or Machine gun bullet, either a 6.5 m/m or a 7.9 m/m from which the nickle covering has been torn off. This could be caused by the bullet striking wood or any hard substance.
(sd.) G. Perkins,
Lance Sergeant A.210,
Armourer.
